Corporate Trainings

All corporate training workshops are grounded in the principles of emotional intelligence (EQ). EQ is a measurable, learnable, science-based skill that drives stronger effectiveness, influence, decision-making, health, relationships, and quality of life.

Each workshop takes an experiential approach to learning, including peer-to-peer discussions, reflections, group debriefs, exercises, and activities. Our goal is to create an experiential and skills-based approach that allows participants to learn, practice and apply what they learn into their careers.

Each corporate training and retreat utilizes the Six Seconds: The Emotional Intelligence Network assessments (SEI). The SEI tool measures key EQ competencies and is based on the powerful Six Seconds EQ-in-Action Model. These tools offer tremendous insight and provide a roadmap for increasing effective performance.

SEI is based on the Six Seconds Model of Emotional Intelligence, which grew out of Self-Science (published in 1978 and described in Daniel Goleman’s 1995 book Emotional Intelligence). The model is a 3-step process for using emotional intelligence:

1. Know Yourself

Notice emotions and reactions (EQ competencies: Enhancing Emotional Literacy and Recognizing Patterns)

2. Choice Yourself

Pause to respond intentionally (EQ competencies: Consequential Thinking, Navigating Emotions, Engaging Intrinsic Motivation, and Exercising Optimism)

3. Give Yourself

Connect on purpose (EQ competencies: Increasing Empathy and Pursuing Noble Goals)

Emotional intelligence is the key to success

Research has linked emotional intelligence (EQ) to critical life success factors like effectiveness, relationships, wellbeing and quality of life. People high in emotional intelligence tend to not only be more successful, but have higher life satisfaction as well.

We live in an ever-changing, fast-paced, and technology-focused world. We are connected electronically 24/7, yet people are feeling more isolated and stressed than ever. This is negatively affecting people’s abilities, relationships with others, and overall well being. We need to develop critical skills that allow us to navigate today’s challenges. This is where EQ comes in.
